Established in 1986 as Orderbook Systems, Obsys Ltd has now banked up thirty two years of experience in providing comprehensive database solutions for the a large variety industries. Our work has been recognised as being of high quality; we use well-established industry-standard methodologies, and maintain a friendly and flexible approach. Our aim is to establish a long-lasting relationship with our clients, concentrating on providing and supporting systems that fully meet their business needs. Recent Projects include:
For Eden Spa (Day Spa
Facility): a database driven web site to allow full contect
management of the site, to allow availability and information request
forms to be completed on-line and to allow gift vouchers to be purchased and
managed on-line. |

For the Folio Society (publisher):
a production management system allowing them to produce estimates, cost
sheets and purchase orders as well as allowing them to analyse their data in
a highly flexible way. |

For Pure Recruitment (recruitment
agency): an on-line survey questionairre to run alongside a
marketing campaign. |

For the Camden Centre
(part of the London Borough of Camden): an event management system, allowing
them to manage the bookings in their hall and provide links to their diaries,
web pages, and off-site management. |

For RaceTimes (Fun
Run Event Support Company): a .net web application to allow a
results service to be provided for event organisers. |

For Page Bros (Norwich) Ltd
(printer): a production management system allowing them to analyse data from
a variety of sources, in a variety of departments, in a highly flexible and
customisable way. |
Past Projects include:
For Milex Data Corporation
(data service provider): several directory databases, based on a generic
model, allowing them to hold their data in a highly structured way, produce
mailings, update the data, and then produce a variety of outputs for
publications or for data analysis. |

For Hodder Headline plc (publisher):
a group-wide strategic software called The Title Database, holding
data relating to the all of their titles, including Editorial, Sales,
Marketing, Finance and Production data. Recently this data provides the
source for their new web site www.madaboutbooks.com.

For the Stationery Office (publisher):
help with their Virtual BookStore project, allowing them to sell publications
on the web. |

For Macmillan (publisher):
the development and support of a system to manage the compilation and
production of The Dictionary of Art, a 30 volume dictionary containing
50,000 articles from 13,000 contributors, including over 6,000 illustrations.
This project lasted twelve years from 1985. |

For the London Business
School (Educational establishment): help with teaching material for the
Operations Department of the London Business School, investigating management
issues in a variety of industries for case material. |

For Real Time Management
Ltd (Management Consultants): development of various innovative management
solutions using bar code readers, TV display monitors, keypads, etc to
improve the flow of management information in a variety of industries (steel,
textile, print, etc) |
